Free Time & Accomplishing Your Goals

So I’ve got a 7 month old baby at home. He’s adorable (see picture of his recent trip to NetApp for proof), fun and extremely needy.

When I say needy I mean he doesn’t usually play long by himself before he wants me to join in. So I sat here during his nap time, trying to figure out how I’m ever going to accomplish my personal goals when I have play with him all day.

Well that was dumb. I realized that I was spending the free time I had complaining to myself that I don’t have enough free time. Doesn’t make much sense does it?

You can always think back to a time when you had more time to accomplish your goals than you do today. But that doesn’t matter. What does matter is that you do have free time today. Maybe not much, but it’s there. Make sure you aren’t looking back 10 years from now thinking about how you could have done something big with the free time you have today. That’s what I’m going to do.
